The Call

Title - The Call
Author - Rina
Warning - Suggested/obvious incest, namely Yazoo/Kadaj
Note - Just a little something I wrote during my lunch hour at work. Had this idea and had to get it down quickly so I did it the old fashioned way: with pen and paper! I do believe it is the shortest fic I have ever written in my life and that's a miracle for me. lol I dedicate this to a special friend of mine - she knows who she is. ;) Hope this brings a smile to your face.

Loz’s phone rings, the victory fanfare echoing absurdly in the reverent quietness of the old broken church, the sound coming from underneath a pile of rubble. The pile explodes as the big, muscular male punches his way out of it. Standing up unharmed, he walks forward slightly, floorboards creaking under his clomping boots, before retrieving the ringing device. He flicks open the shiny black phone, keeping a wary eye on Tifa, who is also watching him from a distance, just as cautiously. Grunting at the interruption, he holds the phone up to his ear, Kadaj’s voice coming through the other end, sharp and demanding.

“Well? Did you find Mother?”

In an annoyed tone, Loz returns, “She’s not here.”

As Kadaj’s phone is on speaker, Yazoo overhears this, leaning in to tease, “Aw, Loz. Don’t cry now.” The longer-haired brother chuckles in amusement when Loz predictably snarls back.

“I’m NOT crying!”

Shooting Yazoo a chastising look from beneath his feathered fringe, Kadaj continues commandingly, “Finish off that bitch and then return here with the child. Or is that too complex for you?”

Sounding even more annoyed that Kadaj thinks he’s an idiot who can’t comprehend or follow instructions, Loz replies irritably, “No, I got it.” He glances forebodingly over to Marlene, hiding behind Tifa’s leg.

“I’ll bring the girl.”

Closing his cell phone with a snap, the tall, broad remnant pockets it and then turns his full attention to brunette woman he’s been fighting, her dark eyes showing clear resentment as well as bold defiance. He takes a few heavy steps towards his opponent and sighs, settling back into battle stance, one strong arm coming up level while prepping and charging Dual Hound in readiness.

“Where were we?”

Back at their base, a hidden cave located deep within the Forgotten City, Kadaj closes his own phone, setting it on the floor beside him.

“You really shouldn’t tease Loz like that,” he remarks in a mildly admonishing voice, glancing to his middle sibling.

Chuckling again, Yazoo rejoins, “Why not? It’s fun.”

He nimbly shifts on top of Kadaj who’s laying back-first on a blanket covering the dirt ground, their bare chests and bellies pressing together.

“And so is this.”

Kadaj smiles up at him in agreement, matching green gazes meeting and holding, his pale thighs willingly parting for Yazoo’s nudging knee. Lowering his head, the older silver-haired man captures Kadaj’s mouth in a soft, promising kiss, murmuringly seductively against his little brother’s smiling lips.

“Where were we?”
