The Story so Far
There was a time, in Spira, long before the arrival of Sin. A time of peace, but also a time of great laziness. It isn’t hard to see why, when the Yevon clergy was created, they blamed the worlds downfall of the laziness of its inhabitants. But that was long after the Zanarkand-Bevelle War and not many remembered the details there-in once Sin was born. Sin’s birth brought about a new time on the world; the time of the Summoner. People would give their souls forever so that those of special ability could wield them in battle against the great beast. Yevon had a great many temples built to house them, though by the time of High Summoner Braska there were comparatively none left. Some hidden, others destroyed in Sin’s attempts on life, others simply forgotten in the sands of time; their locations lost from the history books of the world. Several years after the final defeat of Sin at the hands of High Summoner Yuna and her loyal Guardians. Spira is a changed place, people are branching out from the continent like the Al Bhed once did to discover Bikinel Island. Former Summoners have discovered that summoning is lost to them as are the Fayth that spawned them. Magic itself seems to have altered its form as new branches are being discovered and their uses tested. It is a time of new life and adventure, but also a dark time of morning and religious upheaval as Yuna is revealed as the daughter of an Al Bhed and her use of an Airship in the final battle with Sin forces the masses to accept that machina were never the cause of Sin nor its power. The Yevon clergy has all but evaporated with the end of Sin. Many of the few still faithful to the temples teachings claim that Yuna’s efforts have finally absolved them of their long-standing punishment for their laziness, while most hardly believe that the great beast is finally dead. Yuna herself has become a kind of Queen and has begun ruling the Humans of Spira from the recently reconstructed and renamed capital city of Edevelle. There she rules her people with ambassadors from the other tribes of Spira as advisors for interracial policy and trade. Lulu has become the Black Master of the Royal University of Magyks, located just off the eastern Wing of the Royal Palace. She had eventually married Wakka and had three children with him who they raised in the bustling commerce port and fashion hot-spot of Besaid. Wakka himself died in a tragic accident several years after the birth of his final child. No one really knows what happened to him except Lulu and whenever it is brought up the strong woman is ravaged by grief. Tidus disappeared the day Sin fell and all those who know him had held out hope over the years that he may again show his face, but to no avail. Many have long since given up any hope. Yuna still seems to think he’ll return, but no longer voices such thoughts in public. Auron was Sent by Yuna shortly before Tidus disappeared. He seems to wish to stay in the Farplane where he claimed to belong. Kimahri like Yuna has become Elder for his tribe. Eventually he took a mate and has a pair of twin boys. The Ronso claimed the plains of the Calm Lands as their own shortly after Yuna took her place as Queen, adding it to their claim on the great mountain they call home. Rikku has not been seen for several years herself. Having left Yuna’s side due to an urgent call from Cid after a scouting mission for a new location for home located something that she never gave any details on when she ran off. With everything that’s happened over the last eleven years is Spira really at peace…?
