Author’s note: Here’s the next story by me! I’ve been playing video games a lot since its winter break. So I thought, “Damnit, I’m so tired of watching the good guys win!” So what’s better to do than write a story about Sephiroth!!!! This is gonna be about Eve, a girl from Earth that just so happens to have the qualities that Sephiroth needs in a person to help him defeat Cloud and his little friends. But this gets better; Eve played the Final Fantasy VII game before this, and is going to help him to get through the game so that he won’t get killed! What’s better than knowing every move your enemy is going to make?! This is going to kick ass!

***

Eve hated everything. Her Life. Her family. The planet, everything. Her only escape from her everyday life was her video games and her books. But there was school, the one biggest thing in her life that she hated the most. Everyone was afraid of her there, and this year her sister started high school with Eve. Eve was a senior here in the mountain town of Tahoe while her sister Liyah (her really name was spelt Leah, but she changed it when she started high school) was only a freshman. Liyah hated Eve because she was different then everyone else. But things had been a little quiet; but it was only the first month of the school year. Eve knew something was going to happen.

Eve was sitting down for lunch with the few friends she had at school. It had been a hard day, some ass named Adam wasn’t doing work his work so Eve kicked him as hard as she could. She didn’t mind, Eve always did things like that when people made her mad. Things were going well... that is until her sister came running up.

“What the hell did you kick Adam for?!” she screamed.

Eve stared up at her raging sister and tried to keep herself calm. “He was being an ass, so I kicked him. As simple as that.” Eve turned back to her lunch.

“No! You had no right to kick him!!”

That was it; Eve turned around and yelled as loud as she could, “Damnit! Listen, you’re being stupid! I know you like him but that gives you no right to stand here and yell at me! I am a senior, so go yell at someone your own grade!” Liyah stared down at her sister, but stormed off in a fit of rage. Eve looked around and saw that everyone in the room was staring at her. Eve felt like decimating the school with a single glance. But no, she had to be good. No more beating people up because she had been kicked out of the last six high schools in Tahoe, and this was the last one that would take her. Trouble seemed to follow her everywhere.

Eve was on her way to Art class when she started thinking about the first half of her day. That was, before the fight during lunch. During all of her classes a man with unusually long hair had been there. Infact, every time she had snuck a peak at this person, she found him looking at her. Even odder, he was nearby during the fight with her sister. Weird, but this wasn’t the time to think about it. She turned down the hall towards the art room when she ran into her art teacher talking to the strange man.

“Eve, come here,” the teacher beckoned. Eve sighed but walked over. The man smiled down at Eve in a way that made her feel sick. “This is Sean Angelique; he’s from a very famous art school. He came here looking for new students and thinks you’d be perfect.” Eve looked Sean and thought, He doesn’t look like an art person... he looks like Sephiroth. But he really did look like Sephiroth; his hair was long and silver. But it was pulled back and he was wearing normal clothes. If he wore a leather cape with his chest showing, then she’d swear that he was Sephiroth.

“I’ve seen some of your work, I’m impressed.”

Eve raised an eyebrow and turned to walk in, “Right...” She walked into the class room and sat down at the table in the back, she was the only one that sat there. Eve pulled out a notebook and began drawing; she had finished her project before everyone else and had nothing better to do.

“If you don’t mind,” Sean said as he appeared out of nowhere, “I’d like to see some of your other drawings...”

Eve glared up at him and threw the notebook at him. “There, go nuts.” She dug through her backpack and pulled out a book instead to read. It was a half an hour before class ended when something happened to Eve. She was drawing once again in her notebook when something on the sides of her began to hurt. But then it went into her head. She started hearing voices in her head! “Get out of my head...” she mumbled before trying to get up. But she didn’t get far, Eve collapsed onto the table with her eyes wide open.

***

“Eve! Wake up!!!!”

Eve woke up lying on the ground with some girl shaking the hell out of her. “Get off of me!” she yelled up at the person. Eve sat up and rubbed her throbbing head, not feeling the stares of everyone in class on her. “God... what happened?”

Her art teacher appeared at her side and answered, “We don’t know, you suddenly collapsed. Are you going to be okay?”

Eve stood up and looked around; the man was gone from the room. “I’ll be fine.” But Eve didn’t wait for anyone to tell her anything else; she grabbed her pack and walked out of the classroom. She stood outside in the heat, the summer ending in a bang. Things today were far worse than when she nearly killed a girl at school when the girl pulled a knife on her. But what was with the blackout? And the voices... Maybe it was time to go back to the head doctor. The bell rang and the buses pulled up, waiting for the students to come. Eve climbed on her buses and waited for the other students to come.

Eve was sitting quietly in her room some time after her mom had stopped yelling at Liyah for what she did at school. It felt odd not being yelled at for once. But for now she was surfing the internet, trying to find some video game songs for her computer. Using the special hacking program she built, which she used to use to hack into the school computers and change grades, to find the One-winged Angel song from Final Fantasy VII game. The song had hidden itself from her for more than six months but today she was going to find it. Even if it took all night. She had just found the song at long last when her mom walked into the room.

“Eve, I need you to go get some milk for me up at the corner store.”

“Sure thing mom.” Eve wasn’t happy at all. Why didn’t she get her sister to go? Why was it always her!? Eve felt like the family pack mule. But she got up anyway and slipped on her shoes, last thing she wanted was to be sent boarding school. Eve pressed ‘download’ before walking out of the room in a huff.

***

She was silently walking down the street, staring down at the ground, when someone stopped her. A large group of Spanish kids that went to school with Eve had assembled themselves right in front of her. Most of the girls there were from a group that Eve called ‘the bakery’, do to the fact that they were all large in size. “Hey,” one of them called, “we heard you’ve been talkin’ crap at school about us. Dat true?”

“Wouldn’t tell you even if I was. But if you want to make something of it... I’m game,” Eve said with an iced edge to it.

One of the girls stomped over to Eve and slapped her hard in the face; she could feel blood in her mouth from her teeth. Eve laughed as she dropped the milk and punched the girl on the same spot on her face. She stood there and watched the blood pour out of the girl’s mouth as she lay on the ground. But it didn’t last long one of the Spanish boys pulled out a knife and said something to her in Spanish. Eve grabbed one of the broken pipes on the ground that are used during the winter and waited for him. He raised the knifed and tried to slash her with it, but Eve took the pipe and slammed it across the guy’s knuckles. As he yelled in pain Eve grabbed another pipe and started pounding on the guy. The others tried to jump in, but they all got swift hits in the face. Suddenly, Eve and the other two girls were the only ones left standing. She trued to grab the milk when she saw it was crushed in the fight.

“Hey! Who smashed the milk!?” Eve yelled. One of the guys raised his hand weakly; Eve stomped over to him and grabbed the top of his shirt. “Now listen, if you don’t want your balls ripped off and shoved down your throat, I suggest that you give me money to buy a new one...” He handed her the wallet. “Hmmm... a hundred and fifty dollars... Well, I’m in a kind mood, so I’m only taking a hundred of this. And next time someone tries to pull something like this again, I won’t hold back.” Eve smiled and walked back towards the corner store to buy more milk and some things for herself.

***

“Eve, what took you so long?” her mom asked when Eve finally made it home.

Eve handed the milk to her mom and took a sip of a soda that she had bought. “Some people from school tried to beat me up. The milk got crushed, so they offered to pay for it...” Eve didn’t wait for her mom to say something about it; she walked up the stairs to her room. When she got up to her room she saw that the download was complete. Eve dropped her things and jumped over to her computer. She brushed away some of her strawberry-blonde hair and looked at the screen. Eve clicked the play button and listened to the song.

Eve was sitting in bliss as the song chanted Sephiroth's name when someone behind her said, “What a nice song.”

Eve turned around and found the real Sephiroth leaning against her wall, cape and all. Eve lowered her head and said, “Wow, I really have lost my mind. What next? Pokemon?”

“Oh, trust me; you haven’t lost your mind... yet. I’ve come here to ask you something.”

Eve looked at his face. “Wait a minute. You were the guy following me around at school!” He nodded his head with the sickly smile on his face. “Then you’d be the reason I passed out in class!”

“Yes, I was attempting to look into your thoughts... but the gem that you wear around your neck kept me from doing so.” Eve looked down at the tiger’s eye jewel, Wow... it really protects you from evil... she thought. “But that is beside the point. I want you to help me to destroy my world.”

“Forget it. I might be stupid, but not that stupid. In the end I’ll be dead.” Eve got out of her chair and was going to walk out of the room when her mom walked into the room. “Hey... what’s up?” Eve looked over and saw that Sephiroth had taken to hiding behind her open closet door.

“I forget that I needed butter. Can you go back up to the corner store?”

“...Yeah. One minute.” Her mom walked back down stairs.

Eve shut the door, trying not to slam it. Sephiroth came out of hiding and said calmly, “I could take you away from this. You could have your freedom. All you need to do is help me...”

Eve continued to glare at the door. But she turned to him and said, “You’ve a deal. When do I leave?”

Sephiroth smiled widely, “As soon as you get what you wish to take with you.”

“All I need is my CDs.”

“Good. Then just leave as your mother asked and I’ll take care of the rest.” He disappeared in a fade of color, leaving Eve to gather her CDs and run out her door.

***

Eve had tried to leave by herself, but her mom insisted that she take her little brother Kevin with her. I hope Sephiroth has a really good idea on how to leave when I’m with Kevin... she thought. Kevin was talking on and on about Yu-Gi-Oh cards when she noticed someone. One of the guys that she had beaten up was standing in the middle of the street. He threw something at Eve and her brother that landed at her feet. It was a bomb! “Kevin! Look out!!” she screamed as she threw her brother as far as she could. She stepped back and tried to get away, but the bomb when off in front of her. Eve lifted her arm to protect herself; she felt the skin on her arm get scraped away by the blast. She could feel it coming closer when she was grabbed from behind. There was sudden coldness, like she had died, but when she put down her arms Eve saw she was no longer on her street. She was hovering inches off the group in a grassy plain.

“You’ve got quit a few enemies for someone who hasn’t killed anyone.”

Eve lifted her head and found Sephiroth behind her; actually he was holding her in midair, but still. Sephiroth gently put her on the ground. Eve looked down at her arm, which was pouring blood. “Was all that in the plan?” she asked sarcastically.

“No, but it did just as well. At least people with think you’re dead and not kidnapped. People won’t be looking for you now.” Sephiroth took a green orb out of his cape and placed it on the gaping wound. It slowly began healing, Eve couldn’t feel it before but she could now. It hurt like hell, but she made no move that made it look like it did.

When he was finished Eve flexed her arm and looked at the area where the gash once was. “Cool.”

“To you maybe. Now come this way,” Sephiroth said as he started to walk away. The sun was still high in the sky here; while back home the sun was setting for Eve. She really didn’t know where he was taking her, but as long as it had food she really didn’t care. “Tomorrow you’ll start training.”

“Huh? But I already know how to fight, why do I need to train?” Eve asked as she struggled to keep up with Sephiroth.

“You know how to street fight against a bunch of people that are used to shooting things. You’ll be fighting fully trained people with real weapons. So I’m going to teach you to use a real weapon. And you’re going to tell me who we’ll be fighting other than that blonde parasite in the mean time.”

“Sure thing, but you’re going to tell me where we’re going first,” Eve said with defiance.

Sephiroth glanced over as he continued to walk and smiled. He laughed a bit and answered, “To where you’ll be staying. And the first thing I’m going to teach you is how to control that temper of yours.”

Eve glared at Sephiroth and thought to herself, What temper?!

“You also might want to be careful about what you think from now on... with that damn necklace gone I can see into your thoughts quite well...”

She touched her neck and found that it was gone. Eve growled, “Son of a bitch.” Sephiroth laughed loudly and continued walking forward.

***

Eve had long ago collapsed onto the bed he had given her; Sephiroth was somewhere far from the little house that was but some what close to the city of Midgar. From what he could get out of her, he had a year and a half to train her; about four years had already passed since he destroyed Nibelheim. It was going to be hard, training her to be almost as strong as himself, but she already had that kind of power hidden in her small body. Though, if she couldn’t control her temper, she was going to end up dead.

***

The next morning Sephiroth didn’t need wake Eve up, she was normally awake early so that she could start watching TV. But she really didn’t mind having to give up TV... and soda... and everything else... Okay, maybe she did, but this was worth it. Eve was glad she was wearing her sweatshirt when she left, because it was really windy.

“So, do you know anything about real fighting?” Sephiroth asked.

“Sure. I know tons of ways to kill people.” Eve started naming off all the ways that you could kill someone with a weapon other than a gun. When she finished Sephiroth stared at her in a sort of awe. “What?”

“Well... at least I won’t have to teach you how to kill people. But wielding a weapon in harder than just killing someone. You have to know how to move with it.”

This sounds like school... Eve thought. She started to drift off into daydreaming, but she really didn’t get too far. The next thing she knew Sephiroth had hit her in the head. “Did you hear what I just said?!” he yelled.

“No! But you didn’t have to do that!” she yelled back. Eve rubbed the feeling back into the top of her head.

“I was saying that you need to concentrate when fighting, but with you... maybe the less you think the better...” he contemplated.

Eve glared at him and shouted, “What the hell does that mean!?”

Sephiroth didn’t answer her, “Come, I’ll take you to Midgar to get a device to play your CDs.” He walked off, quickly followed by an anger Eve.

***

Some time had passed as Eve prowled the empty slums of Midgar. The time to train was almost up now, soon Cloud would start his journey to find Sephiroth and kill him. Eve had spent a few months in a mako pool somewhere outside the little house she was living in, some great power awaken by the mako. The blonde in her hair was gone now too, leaving only the red and some silver in her bangs left by the blonde. Eve had discarded her old clothes, which had been torn apart by hard training and sheer clumsiness, and now wore a red tank top and pants which were held up by her surviving belt. Even now, people still stared at her, but now it was because her eyes grey eyes glowed and at times looked green. But she had long gotten used to it. She saw Tifa and Aeris sometimes, and the one time Sephiroth came with her, pointed them out to him. For the most part Eve came when he didn’t “feel” like training. What he did during that time was beyond her, but she came to Midgar and fought the numerous monsters around her hiding spot.

The only materia that Eve owned was a thunder one which powered her CD player, she had an odd ability to call fire to her and had a voice like a Siren and was about to cause great pain to people with her angry words or put them to sleep. But Eve only did this when she was really bored... which was more and more lately.

Eve stopped suddenly and crouched down. She nearly walked right into Tifa, Barret and Cloud talking. This was unexpected, but the waiting was killing her. And it had been a week since she’s come here, and the house was far enough so that they wouldn’t have heard the explosion if they had already attacked the sector one reactor. She sat quietly and listened to them talk.

“So what’s the next target?” asked Cloud.

“Sector five reactor,” replied Tifa.

Eve didn’t wait to hear the rest; she carefully got out of hearing distance and started running for the nearest exit. This was what she had been waiting for; it was time to have fun. Eve raced back to the little house and hoped that Sephiroth would be there so she could tell him that it was go time.

***

And that’s the end! And look, this story doesn’t have me in it! I thought that a character named after the first woman on earth would be okay so a story about destroying a planet. Though, I got the idea of a trouble making kid from that MTV movie, Volcano High. But I’m really not to sure that anyone has seen that. And trust me... this story is going to be interesting. Just wait and see.
