Chapter 3: The Test

Chapter 4: The Test
3 weeks has passed since Tidus first arrived at Besaid Island and Balamb Garden had just arrived back. During those three weeks Squall had been helping Tidus study for the SeeD written test. Tidus was getting very good in combat and learning what SeeD was all about.
“Tomorrow is the written test do you think you are ready Tidus?” Squall asked. “Yea I do.” Tidus answered. “Well then why don’t you stay at my place tonight instead of at Yuna’s? That way I can give you a tour of the Garden. And you can ‘study’ some more.” Squall suggested. Tidus nodded in agreement.
Squall started the tour by taking him to the Infirmary to meet the residing physician. “Isn’t this Garden against Yevon?” Tidus asked. “No it’s not. Unlike Spira the continent where I am from does not have machine. None of what you see here is made from the material found in Spira. So Grand Mayster Mika approved of Balamb Garden and everything that is not from Spira. Se ‘we’ call the Garden a machine not a machine because of that so as not to confuse the people of Spira.” Squall explained.
As they arrived in the Infirmary someone spotted them and asked “Hey Squall who is your friend?” The physician asked. “His name is Tidus Dr. Kadowaki. Tidus this is Dr. Kadowaki the physician for Balamb Garden.” Squall said. “Nice to meet you Dr. Kadowaki.” Tidus said. “Nice to meet you too. I have not seen you before around here.” She said. “Well you see….” And Squall and Tidus explained everything that had happened to Tidus when he first came to Besaid. “Oh so it is true, I have heard reports of someone missing from Zanarkand. And he does not remember who his family is?” the Dr. asked. “I don’t have any parents, they died when I was little.” Tidus said.
“Oh I’m so sorry.” She said. “Don’t be they never treated me that well anyways.” He said. “Well you are always welcome to come to me if you need anything. But I would like to see if you are ok, alright?” she asked. “Ok” Tidus replied.
After the checkup Squall took him to the Cafeteria to get something to eat. After that he took him to see the headmaster. “Cid this is Tidus the one I told you about who would like to join SeeD.” Squall said. “Why would he like to join SeeD?” Cid asked. “So I can go with Yuna on her pilgrimage. She will only take members of SeeD as her suardians.” Tidus said. “So there is no other reason for it?” Cid asked. (Other than when I first sas her I fell in love with her and Squall) he thought. “Nope” Tidus answered. “Ok I will let you take the test.” Cid said.
The next day Tidus woke up and took a cold shower to get his mind off of Yuna and Squall. As he entered the classroom after the shower he almost froze when he sas Squall. He (Squall) was wearing his tight leather pants, a white sleeveless shirt, and his black leather jacket with the white fur on his callor. (Damit he looks hot in that) Tidus thought. (No I have to go take the test. I have to not think about Squall.) But it was too late Tidus felt his pants tighten.
