Chapter 5: The Boat

Kei_kun: Well people here it is the lonnnnnnnnnnggggg waited chapter 5 of my story. Seems my muses decided to go into a coma on me. : (
Tidus: Hey its not our fault you used us too much at the beginning of the year.
Squall: Yea!
Kei_kun: Oh sure blame me I see how ya’ll are.
Nico: Yea then he had me to keep him company. : )
Kei_kun: O_o What are you doing here Nico this is not your fic! Sorry bout that another muse coming thru there hehe. Ok enough of this time for the show!
Tidus and Squall: Bout time too.
Chapter 5: The Boat
Yuna woke up early that morning to watch the sunrise on the beach.
(This maybe the last time I see Besaid.)
“Yuna! We’re back!” Tidus yelled as he ran up to her. “Finally found you. I had to ask Lulu where you were.”
“Sorry I just had to see the sunrise. It is lovely here.”
“Yea it is.”
“Ok lets get back before Lulu has a fit.”
“Sure.”
When they got back Lulu was talking to Squall who was looking very upset.
“What happened Lulu?” Yuna asked.
“Ummm . . “ Lulu started.
“I got kicked out of SeeD.” Squall said almost in tears again. [gawd I made him sooo OOC right there.] “I can’t go with you now Yuna.”
“Yes you can Squall. I will take most anyone as my Guardian. They don’t really have to be members of SeeD. It would just be nice to have someone trained to fight to protect me is all.”
“I know Yuna. I just don’t know why I got kicked out of SeeD in the first place.” He pouted.
“Come on the boat will leave without us if we are not at the dock soon Yuna.” Lulu stated.
“Oh my that would not be good. Let’s go guys!”
The whole village was there to send Yuna off. Some gave her potions, ethers, and a few gave her exilers.
“Thank you all for supporting me this far. I promise I will defeat Sin and come back.”
Yuna went straight to her cabin when she got aboard the boat.
“Hey Squall do you think Yuna is mad? Do you think she found out?” Tidus asked.
“No I don’t think she is mad and I doubt she found out.”
“Then what is it?”
“Well she might still be tired from getting her first Aeon.”
“Well I can only guess how she feels. I still have a damn headache from Ifrit.”
“You will for about a week Tidus.” Squall laughed.
“Oh sure rub it in Mister tell-all. Ha Ha.”
“I am still older than you and I did command the Garden for two years before I had enough of it.”
“Oh you commanded the Garden and they still kicked you out? That is not right.”
“I know that. I just don’t get why they did it.”
“Come on I’m still tired from getting Ifrit. Lets go to the cabin.”
As soon as Tidus got in the cabin he went straight for his bed, much to Squall displeasure. He wanted nothing more that to take Tidus right then and there but he knew that was risky because Yuna was right next door. So Squall bid Tidus a nice nap and went to the couch to get some sleep too. After fall asleep for what seemed to Squall like a few minutes, but was just a half hour, he was awoken by Tidus.
“Squall you need to get up. They spotted Sin headed for Kilika!” Screamed Tidus.
“WHAT!? They spotted Sin out here?” Squall answered back.
“Yes, we are needed up top. Lulu already got Yuna up there, let’s go Squall.”
Squall climbed out of bed and ran with Tidus out the door and back up deck. Tidus was the first to notice that Sin was nowhere to be seen.
“Hey where is Sin?”
“I think it is below the surface Tidus.” Lulu said.
“Yuna can you do a scan to see if you can find it?” Tidus asked.
“Sure.” Replied Yuna.
Yuan used scan looking all around the front and sides of the boat. Then turn to the back quickly.
“Its coming up behind us!” Yuna screamed.
“Get ready for battle.” Squall ordered.
Tidus grabbed his Brotherhood sword and ran toward the back of the boat. Squall followed him closely carrying Lionheart. Yuna grabbed her Nirvana. Lulu grabbed her Onion Knight. As they made their way to the back of the boat Lulu got a funny feeling.
“Hey guys I think we should be near the front of the ship.” Lulu said.
“Why do you think that Lulu?” Squall asked.
“I just got this feeling that we should be up near the front. More room to fight up there than in the back of the boat don’t you think?”
“Yea that is true Squall.” Tidus chimed in.
“Ok to the front it is.”
They all made it to the front just in time for one of Sin’s fins to appear out of the water. The whole boat rocked back and forth from the wave it created. Tidus, Squall and Lulu took up surrounding Yuna to protect her from the SinSpawn that shows up each time Sin appears. Yuna started to cast Protect and Shell on everyone to minimize damage to them.
“I hope this works.” Yuna said.
“Hope what works Yuna?” Tidus asked.
“Lulu cast Flare at that fin.”
“WHAT!? You want me to cast Flare at it now?” Lulu screamed.
“Yes while I call Valefor.”
“Ok get ready for another wave then.”
Yuna starts the dance to summon Valefor while Lulu casts Flare.
“Flare!” Lulu screamed.
Sin’s fin busted into flames as Flare hit its target dead on. Yuna just finished her dance for Valefor. Valefor comes flying in from the sky and lands on the deck.
“Please lend us your strength.” Yuna said after petting his face.
“Use your Energy Ray!” Yuna commanded to Valefor.
Valefor spun up in the air and fired off its Energy Ray. Sin’s fin busted into even more flames before it headed for Kilika.
“Oh no its still going after Kilika!” Tidus screamed.
“This is not good. This is really not good.” Lulu said.
“Yuna you should send Valefor back.” Squall said. “There is nothing more we can do right now.”
“Ok” Yuna said depressingly. And sent Valefor back. “Everyone ok?”
“Yea just find thanks to you and Lulu Yuna.” Tidus commented.
When they arrived at Kilika it is in ruins. The dock managed to survive mostly in tacked. A lot of the houses were not so lucky. Most were still on fire or sinking into the ocean.
“How terrible to have lost either your house or loved one.” Yuna cried.
“It is Yuna, come here.” Squall told her and embraced her to get her to stop crying.
After Yuna calmed down she managed to do the Sending Dance for the townspeople that lost their lives.
“You did great Yuna next time don’t cry when you do the Sending.” Lulu told her.
“Ok I will try if I have to do it again.”
“Lets get to the Temple Yuna so you can get your Aeon.” Tidus suggested trying to get Yuna’s mind off of what just happened.
“Ok.” She said.
As they started thru the forest that lead to the temple Tidus noticed something.
“Who are all these people here?” He asked.
“Oh they are the Crusaders.” Yuna said in response. “They help fight Sin, but a lot get killed in the process. So far only us Summorers can defect Sin.”
“That is sad.” He said.
“Yes but they are trying hard.”
“I hope they are able to help more in the near future.”
As they went thru the forest they started to hear sounds of a struggle up ahead.
“What is that?” Tidus asked.
“Sounds like someone is fighting.” Squall answered. “Let’s hurry up and see if we can help out.”
“Sure.”
So they ran thru the forest and started up the steps when they noticed that is was a SinSpawn.
“Oh great can we even go a day with out seeing Sin?” Tidus asked.
“SinSpawn always follow in Sin’s wake.” Lulu said.
“Joys lets go.”
“Yuna stay in the middle we don’t want to get you hurt.” Squall said. “Don’t summon yet we need to see how powerful it is first.”
“Ok but if it starts to overpower us I’m going to summon.”
“Yuna cast scan on it see what we are up against when we get up there.” Tidus asked.
“It’s a Geneaux but I think that is just its cover. Its weakness is fire though so it’s a plant type.” Yuna spouted off.
“Ohhhh I wonder if I can…” Tidus started but stopped when tentacles shot out of the ground. “Oh crap!”
“Watch out! Yuna cast protect on everyone!” Lulu said.
“Ok.” She answered casting protect.
