Chapter One: New Begining


Tidus awoke suddenly on a beach, but he had no clue as to where he was. (Where am I?), he wondered. (How did I get here and how long have I been asleep?) “Yo,” a stranger said. “How long are ya going to sleep on the beach? You have been there for two days now you must be hungry.” Tidus got this weird feeling that he knew this boy but didn’t know from where. “Where am I?” he asked. The boy replied “On the beach.” At that Tidus sweetdrops, “I mean the ‘name’ of the place.” “Oh, Besaid Island,” the boy replied. “It is the southern most inhabited part of Spira. You should know that.” “But I never heard of Besaid Island before or Spira for that matter. The only place I know of is Zanarkand. I am the star player for the Zanarkand Abes, Tidus” he said. “I guess the rumors were true that Zanarkand is inhabited again. But how did you get way down here? Wait a minute before you answer that question I never told you my name. I am Squall Leonhart.” He said. “I don’t know how or when I got here. The last thing I remember is playing Blitzball. I was about to score the winning goal and I guess I blackout,” Tidus said. “Well let’s get you over to Besaid Village and get you something to eat, ok?” Squall asked. “Ok” Tidus answered.
Back at Besaid Village Yuna was about to go into the temple to pray to the Fayth. She stopped when she heard Squall talking to someone. (Squall never talked this much to a guy before now. I guess he likes this one.) At that thought Yuna couldn’t help but laugh a little. She runs up to Squall and grabs him pulling him away from Tidus and asks “Hey Squall come with me for a sec. I promise I will bring him back kid.” “Tidus” Squall said. “Oh, right sorry Tidus. I promise I will bring him back Tidus. Just look around for awhile, ok?” Yuna said. “Ok” Tidus said. When she was a safe distance from Tidus she asked Squall “Do you like him?” “He said he is from Zanarkand Yuna. We both know that Zanarkand is just a bunch of ruins.” Squall said. “Don’t change the subject Squall,” Yuna yelled. “Do you like him?” she asked. Squall blushed a little before answering, “What do you mean ‘Do you like him?’” “Ok I will put it like this do you or do you not love Tidus? You only talk that much when you love someone or when you are with me or Lulu,” Yuna said. “Well I don’t know yet.” Squall confessed. “I knew it you do like him. Take him to Balamb Garden when you go back to train him to become a member of SeeD. That way when I go on my pilgrimage you can bring him along with us. The more the merrier I always say” Yuna said. “Ok I will. But I will have to wait until the Garden comes back from their mission in Esthar.” Squall said. At that Yuna left for the temple to pray for the safety of the Garden.
Squall found Tidus at the Item Shop buying Potions. “Hey! There you are I was Looking everywhere for ya.” Squall said. “How would you like to become a member of SeeD?” he asked. “What is SeeD?” Tidus replied. “Well Seed are trained to be elite fighters. I am a member of SeeD and one of Yuna Guardians.” Squall explained. “Ok, now what is a guardian?” Tidus asked. “A guardian protects the summoner. And before you ask a summoner is someone who summons aeons or the dreams of the Fayth. And don’t ever ask about the Fayth no one can explain that.” Squall explained. “Ok I will join SeeD. How long will it be until I can be trained?”
